The owner of Canada’s best bathroom belongs to a former Fort McMurray resident.

The Beaverhill Shell Gas Station, run by Mo Kabalan, was announced on Tuesday as the winner of Cintas’ Canada’s Best Restroom Contest.

The Lac La Biche restroom is all customized which includes tile from Italy and change rooms.

“We strive to offer travelers a nice space to relax before getting back on the road and we’re honoured to be recognized for the hard work and investment that we put into our washrooms,” said Kabalan, in a release.

The loo was up against washrooms in Toronto, Quebec City, and two in Vancouver.

For winning, he will receive $2,500 from Cintas to help maintain their top-of-the-line washroom.
