A 52-year-old Fort McMurray man is being charged after stealing from a business near Anzac.
On September 1, around 5:30 a.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a break and enter where between $10,000 and $15,000 of tools, equipment, and electronics were stolen.
After an investigation, police arrested Garth Savoy who also had a significant amount of the stolen property on him.
A search warrant was later executed on his vehicle where they found the rest of the stolen items.
Savoy has since been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, over $5,000.
He’s since been released and is scheduled to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on September 18.
