Police Arrest Conklin Man Following Break and Enter Incident

A Conklin man is facing breaking and entering charges – following an incident that took place in the hamlet.

Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a residence around 1:40 a.m. on Thursday – where a man had broken into a home and demanded the keys to the occupants’ vehicle.

The victim was threatened but not physically harmed before the assailant fled the scene in the victim’s car.

Police have since arrested 31-year old Sheldon Tremblay and he is facing multiple charges including robbery with a weapon and theft of a motor vehicle.

He also faces charges including flight from a Peace Officer, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and three counts of failure to comply with recognizance.

Tremblay will be before a Fort McMurray court on September 3rd.
