Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating an arson at the River City Centre.

The Mounties responded to an alarm call back on August 24, around 1:30 a.m., in downtown Fort McMurray.

Upon arrival, RCMP found the front door of the business broken in and burnt and the sprinkler system had been engaged.

Fire crews arrived shortly after to secure the scene and early evidence suggests the fire was not accidental in nature.
