The Fort McMurray Catholic School District is naming a new Chair for the 2019-2020 school year.

Trustee Cathie Langmead was elected by the Board of Education at the FMPSD’s organizational meeting on Monday.

“I am most looking forward to continuing our conversations with students, parents, teachers, administration, community partners and various stakeholders,” said Langmead, in a release.

“We want to ensure that we, as a Board, are serving each and every student in Fort McMurray Catholic Schools family to the very best of our ability.”

Langmead replaces Paula Galenzoski who served as Chair for the last two school years.

Trustee Anthony Hoffman will also serve as Vice-Chair.

The Board of Education will hold its next meeting on September 23.
