RFP Open For Shell Place Feasibility Study

With recent community engagement sessions for downtown revitalization, the RMWB is once again looking into the Shell Place Feasibility Study.

Wood Buffalo council approved the study for turning the facility into an all-weather indoor structure back in March.

It would also explore other options for an alternative multi-purposed facility within the downtown core as part of the revitalization initiative.

The study would take around six months to complete and cost roughly $100,000.

A second RFP is open for an updated downtown area redevelopment plan, which the municipality says will be guided by information gathered from residents, stakeholders and community groups during ongoing downtown revitalization engagement efforts.

Both RFP’s can be found on the RMWB’s website.
